Uncertainty
This quote is a little longer than usual but worth it. I’ve been thinking about it since I came across it yesterday.
We’re always living in a state of uncertainty—whether looking back two years or peering forward two years from now. This is the constant condition of our existence, an unchanging backdrop to every moment of our lives. Therefore, part of our challenge is to make uncertainty our home. To lessen our resistance to the unknown and instead invite it in.
This is where we are living—right here, right now—every day of our lives, in this delicate dance between fear . . . uncertainty, impermanence, possibility, hope, and strength. So let’s choose to rejoice in it. Let’s close the door gently behind us, rearrange the books on the shelf, and say, Make this as beautiful as it can be, even knowing that a forest fire, an earthquake, or some other unforeseen upheaval may be just around the corner. AND at the same time, let us hold space for the truth that tremendous beauty and love may also be coming in through that very same door tomorrow. Making a little more space to allow uncertainty to become your home.

Sending so much love to everyone who is trying, trying, and trying again to make this, whatever *this* may be, as beautiful as it can be.
